Drop-Side Baby Cribs Recalled

Pottery Barn Kids are recalling 82,000 drop-side cribs for safety concerns. The CPSC says the 82,000 cribs on recall could pose a suffocation or entrapment risk to you children if the drop-side rail on the crib detaches because of faulty hardware.

The recall involves all Pottery Barn Kids cribs no matter the model number. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says there have been 36 reports of drop-side rails that have detached or malfunctioned. Seven children sustained minor injuries when they fell out of the cribs or their legs got caught between the side rail and mattress.

The CPSC is telling all parents to stop using the cribs immediately. Pottery Barn Kids is offering free kits to immobilize the drop-side rail.
