
A man from Florida suffered fatal personal injuries on the morning of January 30 in an accident involving his tractor-trailer, another tractor-trailer, and a 2001 Volvo driven by a man from Fayetteville on Interstate 295 in Prince George County, Virginia.
According to Virginia State Police, the driver of the tractor-trailer, 49-year-old Miami, Florida resident Lionardo S. Reina, was killed in the crash. His passenger, 46-year-old Miami resident Domingo R. Garcia, was released from the hospital after being treated for minor injuries.
The driver of a second tractor-trailer involved in the crash, 46-year-old Quebec, Canada resident Laurent Beaulieu, remains hospitalized with serious personal injuries.
Police said the Volvo’s driver, 36-year-old Eric Currie and his 14-year-old passenger were not injured. Both were wearing their seat belts.
The accident remains under investigation.
