Multiple vehicles, including a school bus, were involved in a collision in Morrisville. According to Cary Police, a Ford Taurus, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the school bus were at an intersection at Good Hope Church Road.

The school bus had just finished dropping off students at Cedar Fork Elementary School. The Taurus allegedly ran a stop sign and the bus driver swerved to avoid hitting the Taurus, instead the bus hit the Jeep on the driver's side. The driver of the Jeep was taken to a hospital for treatment, but did not survive. The Taurus fled the scene.

The accident continues to be investigated.

If you were involved in a hit-and-run accident, here are the post-accident steps you can take. It may seem like you have no options, but there is hope. The most important thing you can do is report the hit-and-run accident to the police. The negligent driver may be found and you want to have all the evidence possible when they are identified.
