Driver Cited For DWI After Pedestrian Fatally Struck In Fayetteville

The Fayetteville Police Department says a man suffered fatal personal injuries on the morning of August 8 when he was struck by a car while attempting to cross Bragg Boulevard.

 

Police say the investigation revealed that the man, who was not immediately identified, was struck by a 2007 Dodge driven by Fayetteville resident Jason Phillips, killing the man.

 

Police have charged Phillips with driving while intoxicated and driving on a revoked license.

 

Police said the accident took place shortly after 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Bragg Boulevard and Blue Street.
