A woman was charged on March 2 in connection to a January crash on Dundle Road in Fayetteville in which the passenger of the vehicle she was driving suffered fatal personal injuries.
According to the arrest warrant, 45-year-old Fayetteville resident Linda Taylor McNeal was driving while impaired when the single-vehicle crash took place on January 24.
The warrant did not specify if the impairment was due to alcohol or drugs.
Fayetteville police said that on the day of the accident, McNeal was driving north in a 2006 BMW 750 when she lost control of the vehicle, which ran off the road and overturned into a ditch. Her passenger, 49-year-old Fayetteville resident Barbara Jean Taylor, died in the crash.
McNeal sustained serious injuries and received air transport to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
