Driver Charged In Fatal Hit-And-Run In Asheville
Police have charged a North Carolina man with felony hit-and-run in connection to a crash in which a motorcyclist suffered fatal personal injuries.
According to a report in the Asheville Citizen-Times, 22-year-old Aron Clifford Hallum turned himself in on June 11. He was also charged with driving on a revoked license.
Police said that a car struck a motorcycle driven by 36-year-old Asheville resident Johnnie Nelson Faircloth Jr. on June 11, killing him. A female passenger on the motorcycle was injured, but her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
According to investigators, the car’s driver fled the scene, leaving his car and two passengers behind.
