A personal injury suit over a dog bite that initially named a German shepherd has been tossed out by a judge in Detroit, Michigan.

On October 13, the suit 56-year-old Inez Starks filed in Michigan’s Macomb County Circuit Court was dismissed by Judge David Viviano.

Starks suit named the city of Warren, several police officers, and a police dog named Liberty as defendants.

According to the suit Starks filed, during a confrontation among police, her daughter, and others in April 2007, she was bitten by the police dog, resulting in nerve damage.
