
On the night of June 24, an 8-year-old boy from Royal City, Washington was released from Central Washington Hospital after undergoing treatment for the personal injuries he suffered when a dog bit him on the groin.
According to Sgt. Cherie Smith of the Wenatchee, Washington Police Department, at the time of the incident, the boy was playing outside with other children who lived at the same apartment complex when the dog, an 8-month-old male pug named Georgie, began to chase them. Smith said the attack occurred at approximately 8 p.m.
According to Smith, police cited the owner of the dog for “dog at large.”
