Couple Files Suit Against Man And Bakery After Accident

A couple from St. Clair County, Illinois has filed suit against a man from Madison County, Illinois and his employer, claiming that the sustained serious personal injuries after a collision.

According to the complaint filed in St. Clair County Circuit Court on November 28, Ronald Leflore and his wife Connie Leflore were northbound in their vehicle when the vehicle driven by Jim Kruta, Jr., also northbound, collided with theirs. The suit states that Kruta was working for Kruta Bakery at the time.

The suit claims that the crash caused Ronaled Leflore to suffer injuries to his neck, right shoulder, and body. Connie Leflore suffered injuries to her head, neck, back, left shoulder, and body.

Also according to the complaint, the Leflores were hindered and prevented from attenting to their usual duties and affairs, lost money, and suffered great physical and mental pain and anguish in addition to incurred substantial medical expenses.

The Leflores alleges negligence on the part of Kruta for his failure to maintain a proper lookout, see the Leflores, maintain control of his vehicle, brake, decrease his speed, and turn in order to avoid a collision. They also claim he failed to give proper warning and was following too closely behind them. They seek damages in excess of $50,000 in addition to costs of suit.
