Couple Files Suit After Rear-End Collision
A husband and wife have filed a personal injury suit against a driver they allege rear-ended them while they were driving on a highway.
According to the suit Rufus and Mary Carolyn Holt filed on December 17 in Texas’ Jefferson County Circuit Court, they were eastbound on Highway 73 on January 17, 2008 when defendant Ruben Dorantes struck their vehicle from behind.
The Holts allege they suffered head and neck injuries and back pain, incurred medical expenses, and experienced physical pain and suffering due to the accident.
The complaint alleges negligence on the part of Dorantes for failure to maintain control of his vehicle, failure to maintain a proper lookout, failure to brake in a timely manner, driving in a negligent manner, being inattentive, and following too closely.
The Holts seek unspecified damages.
