Contractor Killed During Shooting Accident At Fort Bragg

An Army contractor was killed during a training exercise at Fort Bragg in North Carolina this week. Two others were also injured in the accident.

According to CNN, a retired Army Sargent and Echota Technologies Corporation employee 57-year-old Edward Jenkins was shot during a small arms drill on the military base. Another Echota employee, 27-year-old Daniel Aliff was injured in the accident and has been released from the hospital, while a third man, an enlisted soldier, 25-year-old Zachary Tams, was grazed by a bullet. Tams was treated at Womack Army Medical Center while Ailff was treated at UNC Hospital at Chapel Hill. Both are expected to recover.

Authorities say that the group was attending Special Forces Tactical Combat Skills Training, training that they admit is dangerous but that they take many precautions for to keep safe. The training involves life fire from automatic weapons.
