A collision between a motorcycle and an SUV in Greensboro on the night of September 3 left one man dead and one woman with critical personal injuries.

According to Greensboro police, shortly after 6 p.m. a Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Robert Privette Jr. collided with a Toyota 4-Runner while attempting to turn left into an apartment complex.

Investigators say that Privette received transport to Moses Cone, where he was later pronounced dead.

Officers say Debra Smith, a passenger on the motorcycle, remains in the hospital with critical injuries.

Information on the condition of the SUV’s driver, Alexander Earle, was not immediately made available.

The crash remains under police investigation.
