Church Van from Durham Crashes in Georgia
Church Van from Durham Crashes in Georgia
A van traveling on Interstate 95 turned over twice on Sunday around noon. The van was carrying 12 people from a Durham church to Orlando.
It is believed a tire blew out on the van, causing the driver to lose control. The van skidded more than 250 feet across three lanes of traffic before overturning twice. The van came to rest in the middle of an on ramp.
Numerous passengers had been thrown from the van. Authorities believe they were not wearing seatbelts.
In all nine people were transported to an area hospital.
The accident is being investigated.
