A man from Price Hill, Ohio was arrested after a child received personal injuries in an attack by his dogs on May 22. After the attack, the man allegedly encouraged his pit bulls to run away in order to prevent them from being seized.

Now, 20-year-old Joseph Goebel faces charges of confinement of vicious dogs and obstructing official business.

On the night of the incident, police were called to Goebel’s apartment at approximately 5:30 p.m. and discovered that he had not adequately restrained the dogs, which allowed them to get loose and attack the child.

Police in Cincinnati, Ohio say that because of the attack, the child sustained serious injuries. They also say that Goebel turned the dogs loose in the neighborhood in order for the SPCA to be unable to take them.
