Canally’s alleged abuse involved a teenage boy, who he was involved with for over a year and half. Canally resigned from his teaching position in Johnston County before the alleged child abuse started. The former teacher was known to host barbecues and parties in his home where kids were present. The teenage boy didn’t report the abuse until February 2012; now Canally is being held in jail on over a million dollar bond. Additional students have come forward since the first boy's report.
