Charlotte Accident Claims Life Of Seven Lakes Man
Charlotte Accident Claims Life Of Seven Lakes Man
Robert W. Stark, 70, of Seven Lakes died on Friday when a Charlotte sanitation truck overturned at an intersection and landed on the vehicle he was driving.
According to a report, Stark was driving a Toyota Highlander that was stopped at the intersection of Billy Graham Parkway and West Boulevard. Stark was in the turn lane, when the sanitation truck made a turn onto West Boulevard from Billy Graham Parkway. The sanitation truck flipped and crushed the driver’s side of Stark’s vehicle.
Stark was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
A passenger with Stark, Florence Dubois, of Charlotte was pinned in the vehicle for over an hour, while rescue workers worked to remove her. Dubois was transported to a Charlotte-area hospital. Two other passengers in Stark’s vehicle, Frances Stark, 69, of Seven Lakes and Erik Stark, of Rochester, N. Y. were also injured.
