Charges Expected In Dunn Christmas Day Crash
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, charges are to be filed against the father of a 6-year-old girl who suffered fatal personal injuries on Christmas Day in a crash on Interstate 95 in Dunn.
First Sgt. T.I. Baldwin said that 34-year-old Hyndman, Pennsylvania resident Brandon John Greise is to be charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
The Highway Patrol said that on December 25, Greise was driving an SUV and lost control of the vehicle as he was attempting to pass a tractor trailer. The vehicle went into the median, struck a guardrail, came back onto the highway, struck the tractor trailer twice, and overturned, landing on its roof.
According to the Highway Patrol, Greise’s daughter, Taryn, was not restrained by a seat belt or booster seat and died in the crash.
Greise and four other passengers received treatment at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital after the crash.
