A man from Chapel Hill suffered fatal personal injuries on July 15 when his vehicle overturned near Silk Hope in Chatham County, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.

The NCHP said that 21-year-old Williams David Mote died shortly after 10 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving eastbound on Epps Clark Road.

The NCHP reported that Mote’s car ran off the road to the right and he overcorrected, causing the vehicle to cross over and run off the road to the left, hit a fence, and overturn. His vehicle was the only one involved in the accident.
