Cell Phone Ring Tone Triggers Dog Attack

Apparently, a cell phone ring tone triggered a dog biting and causing personal injuries to a friend of its owner.

A vote on a dangerous dog ruling went before the City Council of Mount Pleasant, Iowa. The motion to support the police department’s order that the dog was dangerous and had to leave town tied 3-3 before the Council. A tie means the motion failed and the dog was granted another chance.

Amber Waller told the council that her dog, named “Tank,” had never been aggressive to anyone. She said that when the dog heard the ring tone, he thought something was wrong.

According to a report in the Mount Pleasant News, the ring tone was played for the council, and it sounded like a dog in distress.
