Catawba Crash Leaves One Dead, Two Injured

Early on the morning of April 26, a crash in Catawba County killed a teenager and caused personal injuries to two others.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol said that 17-yearold Jordan Bone died after the car she was riding in collided with a tree along Mt. Beulah Road near Highway 16 shortly before 4 a.m.

The driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old Tyler Good, overcorrected after the car ran off the road to the right. The car crossed the center line and struck a tree.

Good and another passenger, 18-year-old Michael Davis, received transport to Carolina Medical Center. Good was listed in critical condition and Davis was listed in stable condition.

Trooper Lineberger with the NCHP said drugs and alcohol were not believed to have been factors, but speed was believed to be a factor as Good was driving at an estimated rate of 70 mph in a 45 mph zone.
