Cary Man Killed By Tree That Fell On Him
On August 25, a man from Cary died of the personal injuries he suffered when a tree in his yard he was attempting to cut down fell on him.
According to Cary Police Lt. Ken Quinlan, the accident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. in a southwest Cary residential neighborhood. The man was identified as 39-year-old Adam Young Hughes.
Quinlan estimated the tree to be 25 feet tall. Apparently, Hughes had tied a rope around the tree to keep it from falling on his house.
Quinlan said the tree was dead.
