Brunswick County Family Killed In Head-On Collision
According to police, two young children and their parents suffered fatal personal injuries in a head-on collision with a school bus on a rural road in southeastern North Carolina on the afternoon of March 9.
North Carolina Highway Patrol Sgt. Jeff Gordon said only one child was on the bus at the time of the crash. The child and the driver both suffered minor injuries and received treatment at a nearby hospital.
Gordon said that shortly before 4:30 p.m., a car driven by 31-year-old Ash resident Joshua Speed Williams crossed the center line while traveling around a curve and struck the bus head-on near Ash in Brunswick County.
Williams died in the accident, along with his wife, 30-year-old Brandy Nicole Williams, and their children, 9-year-old Joshua Williams and 6-year-old Gavin Lee Williams.
The bus was from Waccamaw Elementary School.
