Bengals Receiver Chris Henry Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Charlotte Accident

A source says Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry is on life support due to the severe personal injuries he suffered when he fell from the back of a pickup truck in North Carolina. The source described the situation as “dire.”

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, Henry was discovered on a road in Charlotte, apparently suffering from injuries believed to be life-threatening. He received transport to Carolinas Medical Center.

Police say Henry jumped into the bed of the pickup as his fiancée, who was not identified, was driving away. Police said the domestic dispute continued, eventually resulting in Henry falling out of the truck.

According to Bengals spokesman Jack Brennan, he has little information other than knowing Henry was badly injured.

Henry has been sidelined for the season after suffering a broken left forearm in the Bengals’ November 8 game against Baltimore.
