
The suspect in a Fayetteville hit-and-run crash in which a motorcyclist suffered severe personal injuries on June 16 was arrested on June 19.
According to court documents, police arrested 30-year-old Fayetteville resident Jerome Ian Wilson on charges of felony hit-and-run, driving on a revoked license, and failure to yield the right of way, causing disabling and serious bodily injury.
Wilson was imprisoned at the Cumberland County Detention Center, where he is currently being held without bond.
Wilson has been accused of fleeing the scene after turning into the path of a motorcycle driven by 52-year-old Fayetteville resident Steven Mark Longstreet.
According to investigators, Wilson turned in front of the motorcycle on Andrews Road, causing Longstreet to collide with his vehicle. Longstreet suffered serious injuries in the collision, but has been discharged from the hospital.
