Raleigh police charged a woman with driving while impaired and involuntary manslaughter after causing a fatal wreck in Raleigh Saturday. The two-car collision happened on Glenwood Avenue and Brier Creek Parkway.
Linda Ratliff of Durham was driving a minivan when she turned in front of a Volkswagen driven by Suzanne Pratt of Raleigh.
The eight occupants in the two vehicles were taken to Duke University Medical Center.
Minnie L. Wade, of Michigan, was killed. She was a passenger in the Volkswagen along with Angelene Greenared, also of Michigan.
Other passengers in the minivan were Bruce Ratliff, Ronie Shaw, Antwan Shaw and Ronnie Ratliff.
According to a report, Linda Ratliff was charged with involuntary manslaughter, DWI, no operator’s license and a red light violation.
