Accident On I-40 Injures Durham Man
Accident on I-40 Injures Durham Man
A Durham man, Norman Burwick, 51 was seriously injured Friday morning when he merged onto Interstate 40 East from Exit 276. Burwick collided with a tractor-trailer in the right lane.
After impact, Burwick lost control of the GMC Jimmy he was driving and turned over several times. The GMC then went down an embankment and came to rest next to Hwy. 54.
Burwick was transported to Duke University for injuries received.
Stephen Wiley, 62, was driving the tractor-trailer.
The accident was being investigated
