Accident Near Garner Kills Four
An accident near Garner on Thursday, July 1, claimed the lives of four men. The accident occurred on Rock Service Station Road.
Three of the deceased had to be identified by their fingerprints.
The names of Tony Smith, Jr., 22, and Evan Bridges, 18, were released.
The Troopers needed assistance in identifying the fourth man. This man had numerous tattoos on his body. "Detrique" was across his chest, a basketball with "11-26-91" was in the center and the name "Marcia" was on his right arm.
There was no identification on the men.
The vehicle involved in the accident was a 2003 silver Chevrolet Trailblazer. Apparently, the trailblazer had rounded a curve at a high rate of speed, ran off the road to the right, swerved to the left, hit a ditch and turned over into some trees.
None of the men were wearing seat belts.
A sticker from Bobby Murray Chevrolet was on the front of the vehicle.
