Accident in Orange County Claims Life of Teenager
Accident in Orange County Claims Life of Teenager
Traven Olsson Keigley, of Pickerington, Ohio was killed in an accident on Interstate 40 in Orange County Wednesday afternoon.
Three vehicles were involved in the accident.
Charged in the accident was Jose Hermi Tobias, of Charlotte. Tobias was cited with misdemeanor death by vehicle and operating a vehicle with no license.
N.C. State Troopers reported that the Pontiac SUV driven by Tobias hydroplaned near the I-40 split with Interstate 85 and struck a 2008 Dodge pickup and a Nissan Murano.
Five people occupied the Nissan that struck a guard rail, turned over & came to rest in a ditch. Keigley was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the back seat.
The injured were treated at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
