Accident In Nash County Injures Four

An accident occurred in Bailey injuring four Southern Nash High School students Wednesday afternoon.

The high school students were on their way back to school for a soccer game. Leonicio Guerra Jr. was driving the Chevrolet Trailblazer, when he was speeding and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle turned over and caused three passengers to be thrown from it.

The vehicle came to rest between a mobile home and a trampoline.

Transported from the scene to WakeMed were Jose Salazar, 17, Daniel Arroyo, 17, Jesus Rodas, 16 and Leonicio Guerra, Jr.

According to Charlene Boothe, the vehicle crashed into her daughter’s bedroom.

Boothe and her daughters were inside the mobile home at the time of the accident.                        

The students were not wearing seatbelts.

According to reports, charges are pending against the driver.
