Accident In Lee County Leaves Two Dead

According to the State Highway Patrol, a head-on collision near Sanford on Monday, October 6, resulted in the death of both drivers

Troopers reported that Michael S. Reel of Fayetteville crossed the center line and hit Paul J. Gilmore of Sanford.

Both men died at the scene of the accident.

There was no indication of alcohol, however, they are waiting for toxicology reports to come back.

While there is no amount of money that will compensate for the loss of a family member, Gilmore’s family appears to have a valid claim showing negligence.
