About 12 people attending East Carolina University’s football game against the University of Tulsa suffered personal injuries when several rows of bleachers collapsed at ECU’s Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium in Greenville.

Officials say the majority of the injuries were minor, but one person sustained a dislocated shoulder.

During the game, 10 rows of bleachers had to be removed. They were part of a new addition that had been constructed during the summer.

University officials say they are in talks with contractors in order to determine the cause of the incident.
