Aberdeen Man Dies In Collision Between Truck And RV
A man from Aberdeen died of the personal injuries he suffered on July 4 when his pickup truck collided with a recreational vehicle on N.C. 211, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
According to 1st Sgt. T.D. Simmons, 26-year-old Jesus Lopez Reyes was westbound in a 1997 Dodge Pickup near Reservation Road shortly after 7 a.m. when he crossed the center lane and sideswiped an RV. He received transport to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The RV’s driver, 49-year-old Bellevue, Washington resident Uday Kantilal Mehta, and three passengers in the RV, 35-year-old Jigna Mehta, 15-year-old Juhi Mehta, and 6-month-old Neel Mehta, were uninjured.
Simmons said speed was not a factor as Reyes was traveling at about 50 mph at the time of the crash.
