90-Year-Old Man Loses Three Limbs From Pit Bull Attack

According to authorities, on July 1, a 90-year-old Staten Island, New York man had to have three of his limbs amputated due to the personal injuries he sustained after two neighboring pit bulls attacked him in his own yard. Henry Piotrowski was attacked at approximately 11 a.m.

According to witnesses the man was savagely mauled by Popeye and Brutus, the two dogs, who tore his limbs before Reginald Bell, a neighbor, scared the dogs away with a knife and called the police.

“They ate him,” Bell said. “They consumed this man.”

According to police, the dogs were euthanized and their owner, 28-year-old Staten Island resident James McNair, was arrested on two charges of unleashed dogs, two charges of no collar or tags on a dog, and possession of fireworks. He is also facing charges for second-degree assault.

Piotrowski remains in critical condition at North Richmond University Hospital.
