81-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck On Cedar Creek Road In Fayetteville
A man from Pennsylvania suffered fatal personal injuries on the night of April 18 after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Cedar Creek Road in eastern Fayetteville.
According to Fayetteville police spokesman Dan Grubb, 81-year-old Beaver, Pennsylvania resident was hit by a 2004 Mazda as he was attempting to cross Cedar Creek road shortly after 9:30 p.m.
Grubb said that Pier received transport to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead from the injuries he suffered.
Grubb said that no charges would be filed against the Mazda’s driver, 55-year-old Salemburg resident Gertrude Carroll. She was unharmed in the accident.
