73-Year-Old Woman Attacked By Four Dogs While On Morning Walk

According to police in Kennewick, Washington, a 73-year-old woman who was out for a walk on June 13 required treatment at Kennewick General Hospital for the personal injuries she suffered when she was attacked by four neighborhood dogs.

Police say as Barbara Long was walking shortly before 7:30 a.m., she was approached and bitten by a group of dogs, three of which were pit bulls.

Officer Ken Melone said that Long managed to escape the dogs and get to the house of a neighbor for assistance.

Police and animal control officers were able to contain the dogs and take them to the Tri-Cities Animal Shelter.
