70-Year-Old Man Injured In Accident
A teenage driver was charged in an accident on Leesville Road that injured a 70-year-old man.
According to reports, Andrew W. Miles, was driving north on Leesville Road on May 5, and lost control of his 2003 Mazda in a curve. Miles vehicle hit a guardrail off the right side of the road, spun around, crossed four lanes of traffic and crashed into a 1988 Mitsubishi operated by John G. Lantz.
Lantz received serious injuries in the accident.
Miles was charged with careless and reckless driving, traveling at an excessive for conditions and improper equipment. According to police, the tires on Miles vehicle were badly worn.
