3-Year-Old Hit By Car In Benson

A 3-year-old girl is at WakeMed Hospital undergoing treatment for the personal injuries she suffered when she was struck by a car on March 13, according to the Johnston County Sheriff's Office.

The accident took place on West Harnett Street in Benson at about 2 p.m. Authorities said that it was not a hit-and-run incident, but no further details were immediately made available.

As of the evening of the accident, the toddler's condition was not known. It was unclear if charges would be filed.
