3-Year-Old Boy Bitten On Throat By Dog

A 3-year-old boy from Planada, California received treatment on December 30 for the personal injuries he suffered after being bitten by a German shepherd mix.

According to the Merced County Sheriff’s Department, the boy suffered non-life-threatening puncture wounds near the base of his throat and another bit near his eye.

The boy received transport to Mercy Medical Center Merced to undergo treatment for the injuries he sustained. Merced County Animal Control quarantined the dog.

According to the sheriff’s department, the dog bit the boy as he turned to leave after petting it. According to Monica Mendoza, a neighbor, the dog had bitten another child earlier in the same week.
