11/17/2008According to a Murfreesboro, Tennessee sheriff’s sergeant, an 11-year-old girl suffered personal injuries from being bitten by the German shepherd/greyhound mix of a neighbor.
According to Sgt. Derek Oeser, Savannah Fielder required treatment from paramedics and Middle Tennessee Medical Center for the puncture wounds she sustained after being attacked by the dog in her back yard.
Oeser reported that he noticed “four significant puncture wounds” on Fielder’s right arm. He said Emergency Medical Services treated her and then transported her for evaluation.
Oeser said that he contacted Christa Barakat, the dog’s owner, about the attack and she told him the dog had no history of attack.
Animal Control was notified by the sheriff’s office to investigate the incident.
